Mountain Yoga

Duration: apprx. 2 h to be gather in the beautiful mountain air, between the fragrant Alpine meadows and mountain herbs for group Yoga classes. These Yoga lessons train strength, flexibility and balance and bring mind and body into harmony using breathing exercises and meditation. With Yoga teacher Monika Rauter. Please bring your own yoga mat!

Hiking with dogs on the Schmittenhöhe
Fun for your four-legged friends
Dogs are welcome on the Schmittenhöhe, including on the mountain cableways. Here are some tips to help prepare for your next excursion with your furry friend:
For everyone’s safety, dogs must be kept on a lead and wear a muzzle in cable cars and on trails. Muzzles are available at all valley stations for a fee of € 15.00. Please carry and use your own dog waste bags and dispose of them responsibly.
To ensure safe interaction with grazing livestock, please adhere to the following rules:
- Avoid contact with grazing livestock and do not feed the animals. Keep a safe distance.
- Behave calmly to avoid startling grazing cattle.
- Mother cows protect their calves, so please keep your dog away from them.
- Always keep your dog on a short lead. If an attack is imminent, take your dog off the lead immediately.
- Stay on the marked hiking trails when crossing pastures and meadows.
- If livestock block the path, keep as much distance as possible.
- If grazing animals approach, remain calm, do not turn your back on them and avoid close contact.
- Leave the grazing area quickly at the first sign of distress.
- Observe fences; if there’s a gate, use it, close it and cross the pasture quickly.
- Treat the people working here, nature and the animals with the utmost respect.
