You’re visiting the Schmittenhöhe without skis or a snowboard? That’s great! Because Zell’s landmark mountain offers a whole host of activities off the slopes and for non-skiers. From winter and snowshoe hiking to a relaxing afternoon on one of the sun decks of the many mountain restaurants and rustic huts

For those who are into culture and the arts, the region offers a lot of options as well. For instance, how about a visit to the “Areit 1400” exhibition? At the mountain station of the Schmittenhöhe, you’ll find another highlight: the “Tradition & Innovation since 1927” exhibition.

Huts & culinary highlights 

In the cold winter months, 23 huts, restaurants and après-ski bars serve you delicacies from the region and international culinary highlights. Kaiserschmarrn, Pinzgauer Bauerngröstl, tarte flambée or a hearty steak: Culinary joys play an important role during every perfect (holi)day on the Schmittenhöhe! And for après-ski fans, there are several locations to have a “goodbye” drink or two after an eventful ski day.
