The “Hahnenkamm of the Pinzgau”

Looking for a special thrill? Skiing the Trass descent will get your adrenaline pumping! Spanning over four kilometres and with a gradient of up to 70 per cent, this one-of-a-kind run starts at the Schmittenhöhe summit and ends at the valley station of the Schmittenhöhebahn cable car. But be warned: This descent is for experienced skiers only!

Funslope XXL on the Schmittenhöhe

Top attraction in Zell am See

Did you know that Zell am See is home to Austria’s longest Funslope? Starting at the Hochmaisbahn mountain station, 1,765 metres above sea level, the Funslope stretches over a kilometre. High-five giant hands, get caught speeding by the Slopecop, and enjoy amusing sounds as you ride along! For the final stretch, you’ll get a speed boost. And then the Hochmaisbahn cable car whisks you right back up to the starting point for another fun-filled run …

With Skiline, you can track how many kilometres and vertical metres you have covered in a day. Scan your ski pass at designated points in the Schmittenhöhe ski resort or enter your ski pass number online to monitor your progress. You can view your Skiline data at the following locations:

Snowpark on the Schmittenhöhe

At 1,715 metres above sea level, the Snowpark on the Schmittenhöhe boasts breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain scenery and features 12 challenging obstacles for winter sports aficionados.

The Snowpark is divided into two areas: one for beginners and one for advanced riders, ensuring every visitor can enjoy this freestyle playground to the fullest. Meticulous daily maintenance by skilled and trained “shapers” keeps the park in tip-top condition.

Jumping, jibbing & freestyle fun in Zell am See-Kaprun

The beginner section is perfect for those looking to hone their skills. It features obstacles such as:

  • Rainbow Butter Box: 5 m

The advanced area caters to seasoned pros and includes obstacles like:

Night skiing in Zell am See

You can extend your day on the slopes of the Schmittenhöhe with night skiing. The Nightslope at the Ebenbergbahn lift welcomes snow sports aficionados during the winter months - depending on snow conditions. The day ski pass already includes night skiing. IF you are interested in only skiing at night, there are special tickets available.

FAQs Nightslope

The piste is located in the heart of the town of Zell am See. The Ebenberglift (no. 26) takes you comfortably to the top and the floodlit piste no. 6 offers a special skiing experience.

*Please note that these arte the expectet opening times of the Nightslope. They may vary depending on snow conditions

The day ski pass already includes night skiing. For those interested in night skiing only, the following rates apply:

  • Adults: € 14.00
  • Youths and children*: € 7.00 *youths and children born between 2006 and 2018; proof of age required
  • Small children (photo required) born in 2019 or later can use the Ebenbergbahn lift for free when accompanied by an adult.
