Up-to-date information on open facilities, lifts and more will assist you in planning your time on the Schmittenhöhe. Our ticket counters open 15 minutes before the operating hours of the cable cars and lifts.

The new ALPIN CARD makes it happen: Unlimited slope-fun in the three premium-ski areas Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See, Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn und Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun.

Blue pistes |
The 15 blue ski runs on the Schmittenhöhe have a total length of 30 km and are perfect for skiing beginners, children and those skiers who like to get familiar again with the pistes after a long summer break. |

There are also many red moderate pistes in the ski area of the Schmitten that are perfect for experienced skiers who like to discover the mountain with its 17 red pistes having a total length of 28 km. |

FIS Rules for Conduct
10 rules for the conduct of skiers and snowboarders
Winter sports, like all sports, come with inherent risks. The FIS rules help prevent accidents on ski and snowboard slopes.
These rules apply to all skiers and snowboarders. Violating them can result in being held liable for the consequences under civil and criminal law.
- Respect for others: Skiers or snowboarders must behave in such a way that they do not endanger or prejudice others.
- Control of speed: Skiers and snowboarders must move in control. They must adapt their speed and manner of skiing or snowboarding to their personal ability and to the prevailing conditions of terrain, snow and weather as well as to the density of traffic.
- Choice of route: Skiers and snowboarders coming from behind must choose their route in such a way that they do not endanger skiers or snowboarders ahead.
- Overtaking: Skiers and snowboarders may overtake another skier or snowboarder above or below and to the right or to the left, provided that they leave enough space for the overtaken skier or snowboarder to make any voluntary or involuntary movement.
- Entering, starting and moving upwards: Skiers and snowboarders entering a marked run, starting again after stopping or moving upwards on the slopes must look up and down the slopes that they can do so without endangering themselves or others.
- Stopping on the slope: Unless absolutely necessary, skiers and snowboarders must avoid stopping on the slope in narrow places or where visibility is restricted. After a fall in such a place, they must move and clear of the slope as soon as possible.
- Climbing and descending on foot: Skiers and snowboarders either climbing or descending on foot must keep to the side of the slope.
- Respect for signs and markings: Skiers and snowboarders must respect all signs and markings.
- Assistance: At accidents, every skier or snowboarder is duty-bound to assist.
- Identification: Every skier or snowboarder and witness, whether a responsible party or not, must exchange names and addresses following an accident.
